About The Event
During this trip we explore sections of the Superior Hiking Trail. The SHT is one of the most breathtaking areas of Minnesota. The trail traverses from Duluth MN all the way to the Canadian Border. Winding thru waterfalls, breathtaking vistas and gorgeous dense forests. Submerge yourself in complete beauty on this 3 day backpacking trip.
This event is designed for people with moderate to advanced backpacking experience. Participants should be able to hike up to 10 miles per day for 3 consecutive days over uneven terrain. Backpackers should feel comfortable with their skills and be sufficient to living on the trail unassisted, and be well versed in LNT principles. Day 1 camp at state park.
Day 2-shuttle to starting point, hike will consist of hiking approximately 12 miles.
Day 3-Hike approximately 6 miles. Drive home.
Participants are responsible for all of their own gear and nourishment. A recommended gear list will be provided to you before the event along with all other necessary information.
