About The Event
Event Info
Kayaking is a great way to experience the beauty of nature up close, so we selected one of the most scenic parts of the Wisconsin River for this 3-day trip. The section of water we will paddle will be determined closer to the date of the event. You should anticipate paddling anywhere from 4-5 hours a day. Mileage will vary depending on the amount of time we spend on the river. This long, dam-free stretch of the river is home to deer, otters, beavers, turtles, sandhill cranes, eagles, herons, and hawks. After paddling for 4-5 hours on Friday and Saturday, we'll settle in on sandbar islands to camp both nights, relive our day and fall asleep to the sounds of nature. On Sunday, we will paddle to our takeout. We should be off the water by noon. We invite beginner and more experienced kayakers to join us for a memorable Lower Wisconsin getaway.
